Message board rules
1. No flaming. Please do not flame someone because you disagree with his or her opinions. From time to time, there will be differences of opinions so if you disagree with someone's post, please remember to disagree nicely.
2. No uses of profanity. Avoid using bad or offensive language. Mild cursing is tolerated in moderation but be careful of your tone, especially against fellow posters. Do not get personal with someone whose opinion you do not agree with. Name-calling and insulting of other posters are not allowed except in one thread.
3. No racist remarks. Hate speech or offensive posts against any race will be deleted and the person posting the material will be blocked from the message board after appropriate warning.
4. No diminishing of someone's character. Please do not resort to attacking someone's character because you do not agree with his or her opinion. Keep in mind to "attack the post, not the poster."
5. No advertising, spamming or get-rich quick schemes. They will be deleted.
6. No disagreeing with these rules. The DCHS99 website reserves the right to delete any post or ban any poster found to be still violating the rules of its message board even after at least two warnings.
Posting guidelines
1. Do not type your posts in capital letters including the subject line. In the Internet world, this is considered shouting.
2. Make use of the preview function. The preview box that sits beside the submit button shows the poster exactly how his or her message will appear when it is added to the message board.
3. Make use of the edit function. The edit function is available for changes to already-submitted posts.
4. If you post an external link, make sure that it is related to the subject at hand. Do not waste people's time by leading them to sites that have no bearing at all on the ongoing discussion.
5. Do not post nonsense and gibberish. This includes all forms of brainless rambling. Material that is completely devoid of intelligence, thought or wit does not belong on these boards.
6. Be yourself. Use your common sense and treat others exactly as you would have them treat you.
Please be guided accordingly
